This wiki was used for Project 3: Global Issues in JOU 4341, Reporting and Writing for Online Media, at the University of Florida in fall 2006. The 16 students in the class are the registered users of this site. The assignment for Project 3 is here.
This year, six issues were examined by teams of two or three student reporters:
Students worked in teams to identify and evaluate online resources relevant to their team's assigned issue. Each team compiled an annotated list of resources and also wrote new Web-friendly stories about the issue. The teams chose the sub-topics to write about within their assigned issue.

Obesity
Each Hungerteam (Teamprovided 5)Humantwo Rightsaudio (Teamfiles 6)relevant to the assigned issue, as part of their assignment. However, this Wetpaint wiki provides no way to place audio files in a page -- even though it does allow MyTube and Google videos to be included. As a very poor workaround, my graduate student assistant transformed all 12 audio files into YouTube videos so they could be included. However, the audio quality is far worse than it is in the students' original files.
So please, don't hold the students reponsible for the poor quality of the audio files!
